Tropical Ekki Bog Mats for Sale

Ekki timber mats are exceptionally durable and built to perform in the harshest conditions. Ideal for heavy-duty applications, Ekki mats are widely used in civil engineering, marine works, infrastructure, and long-term construction projects where they’ll likely be exposed to wet and unstable ground conditions.

Ekki has a Class 1 Durability Rating, which is the highest level of natural resistance to moisture, rot, decay, and insect attack. It’s also classified as Strength Class D70, which is the highest strength class available and provides outstanding rigidity.

Its interlocked grain structure also ensures superior resistance to splitting, while its weight (approximately 29.5kg per cubic foot) makes it one of the few timber species that can sink in water, making it ideal for use in waterlogged or boggy ground.

Designed with ease of use in mind, all of our Ekki mats are fitted with two steel-reinforced lifting points, allowing for quick and safe movement during installation. With proper maintenance, you can expect a lifespan of up to 50 years.

At Timbermat, we ensure all of our Ekki wood mats are sustainably sourced from fully certified suppliers, supporting responsible forestry and long-term environmental stewardship.

We carry a large stock available for purchase or hire, with fast turnaround and next-day delivery available depending on your location.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time on Ekki mats?

We offer fast, nationwide delivery from our depots in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. In most cases, we can arrange next-day delivery to keep your project moving without delay.

Are our Ekki mats sourced responsibly?

Yes. We’re highly committed to protecting natural resources for future generations, which is why all of our Ekki mats are sustainably sourced from fully certified timber suppliers.

Are our Ekki mats easy to move?

Yes. Each of our mats features two steel-reinforced lifting points containing an M24 steel bar. The bar is then secured on the side of the mat using a countersunk steel bolt and washer, ensuring a flush finish. These dual lifting points make it much easier to move your mats between locations as your cranes need to move whilst providing the added benefit of ensuring the mat itself stays stable during motion.
