Our European beech timber mats are a cost-effective ground solution ideal for temporary ground access in construction and infrastructure projects.
European beech is very dense and offers greater flexibility, crushing and abrasion strength compared to European Oak, making it suitable for use under heavy equipment and in demanding site conditions.
It’s classified as Durability Class 5, meaning it’s susceptible to moisture absorption and not suitable in damp environments. It does perform well in dry conditions, however, and with proper use and maintenance, you can expect a lifespan of 3 to 5 years.
